There was a time when Apple's World Wide Developers Conference got no media coverage apart from dedicated Apple news websites. Now the annual event from the Moscone Centre gets airtime on national news. So what was announced that is relevant to Final Cut Pro X and editors?

The last few World Wide Developers Conferences have been a bit 'meh'. Not so for today's 2017 conference from San Jose. A new macOS, Kaby Lake updates to the MacBook lineup, talk of an FCPX update and of course the announcement of the awesome new iMac Pro. 

Where were you this time last year? We were waiting to go into WWDC to see the new Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR for the first time. This year? Nobody is attending, but we do have the Keynote livestream. Will we see the beginning of the transition from Intel to Arm-based processors?
