Three new tutorials to watch from the Ripple stable this week. Adding bling to text, making your own HUDs in Motion and drawing your own curve in a transition in DaVinci Resolve 12

Tuesday wouldn't be a Tuesday without a MacBreak studio and this week it is back to the regular team of Steve Martin and Mark Spencer. In this episode, Mark shows Steve how to add glints or a bit of bling to text.

The glint effect in Motion hasn't been transferred to Final Cut Pro X yet, so the guys have made it available themselves as a free download. The 3D titles in Motion are fabulous, but the glint does add a movie feel to the text too.

If you would like to know more about text in 10.2, make sure you check out Ripple's Final Cut Pro X 10.2 In-Depth set of tutorials. We just noticed that it is still at the sale price of $39.

Mark returns for his five minutes on Motion and this time he creates custom HUDs from the stock elements in Motion.

The Motion tutorials Mark mentions are Rigging and Publishing and Getting Started (Which has $10 off at the moment)

Finally, Alexis Van Hurkman completes the trifecta of tutorials with how to draw a custom curve in a transition in DaVinci Resolve 12. Just as a side note here, we see Blackmagic are saying Resolve is the world's best editor. Hmmm.
