Heya all!
After the 10.1 update it feels like time to get things organised better and although annoying at first, seems to a change for the better.

I've made a few different Libraries and although I can move events between them fine, either by dragging or or selecting 'move to library' from the menu, I can't move or copy projects.

FCP has put all the old projects in one event which isn't very logical for me, but when I try to drag any project to another event, after the dialog the icon just flys back to its original location without moving or copying and no error message.
Selecting 'move to event' or 'move to library' does the same thing.

Any ideas?

You can drag a project from the Updated Projects event to any event you want. Not sure what you're doing but this works perfectly for me. Maybe you can show a screen shot or movie of what you're dragging to where.

Yeah it feels like a bug related to something specific to my system.
Perhaps a permission issue though I've checked out permissions on the libraries and content and seems fine.

I have the 'updated projects' event open in the browser and I'm trying to drag a specific project to the event that contains the media for that project. I've also tried dragging to other events and other libraries.
Then I just see the icon fly back to where I dragged in from, like If you try dragging a file somewhere with no write permissions in finder.

Interestingly, some of the other projects I tried dragging around didn't have this issue.

Another thing I tried was 'show package contents' on both libraries and manually moving the projects that way but FCP does not appear to realise that this has happened. I guess the structure of the libraries is contained in the 'CurrentLibrary.flexolibrary" file.

You are dragging to the event icon not to the right, correct?

Dragging Project icons from the browser to the left to Libraries side bar releasing over an event icon after it gets the blue selection circle around it.

Sorry. Haven't seen that fail. Don't know why it would.
