Hi Folks, newbie to FCP here, hoping for some advice.

In FCP 10.2.1 I'm trying to create a count up clock that runs from 0 to 7 years in 10 minutes, formatted something like:

0sec 0min 0hr 0day
and counting the whole way up thru

59sec 59min 23hr 2554day

until

0sec 0min 0hr 2555day.

I can't seem to find any way of creating a counter that's
A) Formattable so it's not just timecode or a straight count
B) Not in real time/linked directly to the frame rate of the project.

Am I being a total loony bin and this just isn't possible without actually doing each individual frame?

Cheers

Welcome John to fcp.co :)

some math: 10min= 60x30 frames = 1800 frames
So each day# is 'visible' for ~2 frames; but the looping hours, min, secs are beyond recognizable, could be 'any' number…
So, what you need is a counter from 0-2554 and three, two digits random generators - you can build that in Motion.
