I'm sure you're right. During the WWDC Keynote, Federighi referred to it simply as Final Cut Pro. Previously, they've been very careful to call it "Final Cut Pro Ten".
Plus, Big Sur is macOS 11.0, so I'm with you 100% on that prediction.
It means, alas, that we won't get it until September or October, when Big Sur and the first Silicon Mac drop, so there may be a 10.4.9 bug-fix in the mean time. I don't think we'll ever see one called 10.5, though, as a big feature update would take the wind out of the Silicon/ Bir Sur sails.
