Is it possible to move projects from one library to another using the finder? I can't open one of my libraries because of permission issues that I can't resolve. I'm guessing there's a corrupted file in that library. I have identical media in the other library and only need one of the projects that are in the problem library. I tried copying the project using the finder and it even though it copied in the finder, it wouldn't open when I opened the library where I'd copied the project to. Ideally I'd fix the permissions issue but I've hit too many dead ends. thx!
I would first try Digital Rebellion's Pro Maintenance software to repair the corrupt project or library. It works extremely well and I believe still has a free fully functional trial. Purchasing it, though is well worth it.
If you still have issues, it should not be difficult to repair a permission problem. You can select the disk, folder or file, select "get info" and then at the bottom you can change permissions. Be sure to select the little gear icon beneath the permission area to choose "apply changes to enclosing folders". You can also do this using terminal, but probably safer to use the "get info" screen.
