Hey everyone. I'm looking to hook up a 4k TV to my 16" MacBook Pro to use in my editing bay, but before I run out to pick one up, I'm curious as to what I need for dongles, etc. I understand that some dongles will not work at 60hz, and HDR is a whole other issue, so if anyone can let me know what they are using for dongles/cables and how they set it up, it would be greatly appreciated.

I do the same as Tom with both a 2015 15" rMBP and an iMac Pro. Pretty simple. Don't over-spend on Apple's adapter, get a cheap one off Amazon.

I can connect my Mac Mini to a TV using Thunderbolt to HDMI cable. Having said that my TV is not 4K.
