I wonder what's the best combination/succession of the different steps in the color grading process using LUTs.
Is it the best way to apply the white balance/primary color correction with the on board tools first? Or does it makes sense to use the controls for Highlights/Blacks within the LUT effect? Is it useful to modify the primary correction AFER applying a LUT, if it seems necessary? Or is it better to apply a second color correction AFTER the LUT? When do u apply sharpness?

I'd be interested in a video tutorial about these things. Many thanks for hints!

3D LUTs or Look Up Tables are nothing more than a table of numbers that apply a color transform to an image. What makes cinematic LUTs unique however is their ability to apply complex color grades that can imitate the look of major motion picture films.
