I had a project that was using some standard FCPX wipe transition effects and I updated to 10.4.10 yesterday and now the only wipe transition FX's listed in the Transitions Browser are Diagonal and Mask!! All the others are gone.
I tried deleting prefs and creating a new library etc but to no avail.
Other Transition effects are in the browser but when you try to use them they show the yellow warning triangle over the transition icon.
I'm going to try to use time machine to get 10.4.9 back again but I think my libraries might complain!
Any one else experienced this happening?

Try reinstalling the application. That helped others when the problem first appeared in 4.9. Are you running Chrome by any chance?

Hi Tom,

I used time machine to go back to 10.4.9 and it's working again. I'll get this project finished and then try the update again.

I am using Chrome - is there a problem with 10.4.10 and Chrome?

Cheers Stuart

The Chrome antedates 4.10. The problem is most commonly seen by the cross dissolve and fade to color transitions disappearing. They're system based transitions and not Motion based as the majority of transitions. Chrome is a kind of a resource hog and doesn't like playing with others.
