With the former QT Pro it was possible to export different flavors of codecs.
It seem's it's not possible anymore.
I'm opening an image sequence and all I have is 1080 no codec choices.
I need a 4444 export with alpha.
Maybe I'm missing something?

UPDATE: I can export a QT ProRes 422. Not quite what I'm looking for.

Thanks.

4x4 is not available in the QT player. You can export an alpha channel with HEVC.

Thanks.
I imported the sequence into FCX and exported as a 4444.
In QT I can select HEVC but I don't get any codec choices.

HEVC is the codec. There should a checkbox for transparency. Compressor does this easily. FCP can do it as well, but it’s a nuisance building the image sequence.

With QT all I get is the codec but no check box...Hmmm.
Can I use Compressor to do the image sequence ? If so I will get compressor.

That's the build dialog. Export should allow it. I can't test it at the moment.

Tried with export.
I get a check box asking to use HEVC but not for transparency.
Once exported it remained 1-1-1.
Thanks for all the info.
I find this so stupid that we could all do this with QTPro 7 and can't anymore.

UPDATE: Just bought Compressor and solved the problem. A lot more control too!

Use Compressor or Motion, both do a great job and its hassle free.

Quick time is really old and not that reliable anymore.

Btw if you are going to work with it avoid HEVC, 4444 is much easier to work with.

Indeed.
I always use 4444 or other ProRes codecs.
Thank you.
