Audio Reaction / Visualizer? 17 Jan 2021 11:44 #112161

Is there any effect available that reacts to audio? Like analyze a certain frequency range or just the volume and generate animation curves to use for any effect i like ... or even simpler just creates some kind of flickering in the rhythm of the music?

There is an Audio behavior in Motion you can do this sort of thing with.

already got it working and made an FCP-X Effect of it. Pretty cool stuff. Thanks again

it seems it isn't that easy. I can easily setup in Motion that any effect reacts to audio .. but i cannot create an effect for FCPX.
Well i can create the effect and publish some parameters , but it turns out that it doesn't react to the audio in FCPX , it keeps using that what i had in Motion.
I have almost no experience in motion , can someone explain me or point me to a part in the manual how i exactly would set this up so i can pick in FCPX wich audio it reacts to?

Not all parameter Behaviors work in FCP. Audio is one of them. Nothing audio related will carry from Motion to FCP. So you do the work in Motion, period.

Thanks , good to know . So I can stop trying.

I was hoping i can put this process into FCPX to be a bit more flexible.

I am not certain what you are trying to accomplish exactly, but FCPEffects has a plugin that syncs music (and perhaps dialogue) to visual effects. Maybe this is worth checking out. www.fcpeffects.com/collections/home-page/products/bpm-2

i'm trying to create for example brightnessflickering in the Rhythm of the music .
The plugin you recomending syncs the effects to the bpm wich you have to setup in the effect. Wich is not bad, but not exactly what i want.

Currently i'm using magicmusicvisuals.com to generate this kind of videos. It offers many effects wich can react in different ways to music. The bad thing is that i have to pre/post-render the movie with the effects . I was hoping to do that in one go in FCPX.
