Export to Resolve 18 Jan 2021 20:54 #112187

I'm exporting a project to a colleague for grading who is working with Resolve. To my eye I'm exporting the project in rec.709. The footage was shot in Canon C Log and I have left colour space and LUT boxes unticked in the settings. By exporting in rec.709 is FCPX applying a LUT to the clip ? Are there other options for exporting other than the wide gamut settings ?

Why export when you could send the original media and an XML?

Thanks for your reply. I'm clearly at the novice end of things despite playing around with FCPX since its early days. I didn't know one could export from the original media and I don't really understand the XML side of things. In the end I exported using Rec.709 and the grader graded the footage and it looks great. For my next project I'll take the time to dig a little deeper to get acquainted with the more technical aspects of exporting etc. Cheers.
