Howdy! I'm running FCP via an M1 MacBook Pro and I have several attached drives via USB and Thunderbolt. I can access every drive to import material, but I cannot access my main Drobo with FCP. I have NO issues with the Drobo from any other device or app at all. It even shows up on my list of devices in the FCP Media Import window, but instead of displaying the organizational structure of the drive, all it shows is the "movie" folder with a small red circle and a - in the middle. (see attached). Thanks for your help!

What is the format of that drive?
Is there a camera card replicated at the root level of the drive? (FCP can see a drive as a camera card in specific situations.)
What is the drive named?
What are the permissions of that drive?

Hi Ben,

The drive is Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Name is MFP
Permissions are:
ME - R&W
staff- R&W
everyone- R

No camera card replication. Drive works fine but IS going through a hub to my M1

Try this.

The problem might also be the hub.

Nope, tried plugging directly into my Mac and FCP still won’t read it. Works fine on everything else, but not FCP
