Lens correction is a futhermore issue. I simply use the built-in fisheye effect to address this but I'd interested in a better tool.

To encounter the keystone issue, I use Distort in the Inspector, of course. But it's a lot of work to fix the lines manually. It would be great to have a tool that allows you to mark all the converting links, press enter and volia, they are all perfectly vertical.

I was thinking of some sort of keystone correction for converging lines.

Of course, I can do it manually by changing the distortion but I wonder if there are some more comfortable tools like they are in image editing software: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtZAku_co3w&t=123s

I wonder if there's an FCPX tool to fix vertical lines for example for architecture shots? Many thanks for any hint!

Afraid I don't understand, do you mean to mark clips as favorite after importing?

Many thanks to both of you. To select the clips via cmd would be an option... but there's a risk if you are working through 100+ clips, one false click and the selection is gone.

An option to MARK the clips is a feature I would absolutely appreciate! Hopefully, FCPX will provide this someday!

I usually use the filmstrip view in the import window to be able to select just the range of a clip that I want to import.

I wonder if it is possible to DESELECT clips for importing. Of course I understand that I can chose certain clips for importing using the command key - that gives me the possibility to skip clips I don't want to import. But just one false click and the selection is lost - which is really annoying if you are working through 100 clips or so.

Is there a possibility to mark clips in the import window to definitely deselect them for importing?

Many thanks, Blackburn! As I'm working on a similar piece (about Malta) and still feel a little unsure about the speed of the transitions, I really appreciate your feedback!

Jörg Frommann replied to the topic 'Stabilisation via Camera Match Move' in the forum. 2 years ago

Okay, I think the problem concerning the ghosting artifacts was a wrong "field order" setting: I now changed it to "none" and everything is fine. To be frank, I have no idea about this field order thing... I would be thankful for an explanation what that is.

@Karsten: I'm busy to test the method futher but I think it can handle some problems better than FCPX stabilizers and Lock & Load. It might be even more powerful in combination with other stabilizers. If I found the time to do a little video tutorial on this I will link it in the How To section!

Yes, frame rate is the same.

I'm very interested in travel films so I often encounter handheld footage in post. I like the fcpx internal stabilizers. Tripod mode works really well with fixed objects. If an object is moving Core Melt's Lock & Load often provide better results.

But there are some shots neither of this tools work or they all produce a wobbling background. Than the camera match move method comes into play. It's the most complex way to stabilize a shot but sometimes the last hope;)

To stabilize a clip, I analysed the movement with three trackers, and applied a camera matching the move.

It worked fine, preview was good. But after export, I encountered frames with ghosting artifacts. I have absolutely no idea on this. It is definitely not motion blur and there is neither frame blending nor optical flow applied... as I said everything was fine in the preview.

Ideas, anyone? Many thanks in advance!

Oh, I see. I applied the filter to the group... this is why the histogram didn't show up. Thanks a lot!

I wonder if there is a possibility to show up a histrogram in Apple Motion.

The "Levels" filter has a drop down menu called "histogram" but it does not show histogram scope...

Jörg Frommann created a new topic ' Masking a filter' in the forum. 2 years ago

Hi there,

I'd like to do a partial exposure and color adjustment with a group. Is there a way to apply a mask on a filter? Whenever I try to drag a mask on the filter it affects the group, not the filter...

Many thanks in advance!
