They removed that "zoom" slider for the timeline on the bottom a while back. The zoom of the timeline is under the "clip" icon.
Whatever happened to:
"Apple will provide 64-bit decoders for DNxHR and DNxHD codecs within the Pro Video Formats package that is available from Apple as a free download for all users."
Anyone know if this is still happening?
It seems like it would be one of the most common things to do for video----but the term "audio visualizer" eluded me.
(The POV scene from RoboCop where all the audio waveforms are displayed)
The Motion project looks like a great starting but it feels like you have to be a programmer to build up all the elements. (And yes, I really need to learn Motion).
Will check out the commercial plugins too. Thanks!!
Is there a effect plugin generator that shows audio waveforms in video? Waveforms UV Levels rising up and down? Like a spy movie or undercover recording showing the waveform mirroring the audio?
This behavior started happening only recently. FCPX used to provide a more accurate message of the complete progress. Writing (up to 50%) then sharing-uploading to YouTube.
Een though it seems to "hang" at 50%, it is actually still uploading (in my experience.)
It will be at "50%" while sharing and willl suddenly show upload complete.
But, exporting a file first has an advantage--YouTube recently supported upload resume. As long as the file is same name etc. You can upload the file again in the web browser (it will think a bit and compare) and it will continue the previous upload. Useful if some reason the upload the got aborted.
Yes, changing the font within FCP is available but tedious (date and time, plus changing the color of each) and was hoping to be create my own presets.
Maybe he fact the DATE TIME generator retrieves DATE and TIME information from the clip itself causes this weirdness.
Thanks for confirming that. This has got to be either a bug, or a non-supported option.
I don't really know Motion, but thought it'd be straightforward to open a copy of FCPX's Date/Time Generator and change only Typeface -- and then save it as a custom template - generator.
I'm able to change the font and color but when I try the new custom "Date Time" generator that I save, it does this:
The date time goes crazy.
I'm flabbergasted as the only thing I changed was the font.
Try this ... App Store>Store>Reload Page
I'm on Mojave, I launched the Mac App Store and went to the Final Cut Pro page and the update button option was there since I was curious.
How about blading the clip.. stabilize the second part and then applying the "warp" transition between the 2 clips? Would that work?
So after a year of doing things the long and stupid way, I created custom preset in Compressor. (It appears they updated Compressor with support of spatial audio sometime ago.) L R C Cs

I'm a huge fan of www.ffworks.net
It provides a really nice GUI to make using ffmpeg easy.
You can easily join a bunch of clip without re-reencoding.
It is indispensable and allow all kinds of conversions and en-rencoding if desired into different containers.
The license is really inexpensive.
