Ok apparently it was being caused by a weird Photo-Jpeg MOV file. Re-encoded via Mpegstream clip to ProRes and its all rendering again.

So upgrade and now trying to export a ProRes 422 of a basic timeline (bunch of clips in line with an MP3 audio track) out of FCPx 10.2. Export gets so far through and although the file has started to being created suddenly stops, deletes the file and then just sits there.
When I send via Compressor I get the "Failed: Video Rendering error: 10008" error message. Not a good feature.

Also just a little over half the speed of the Apple SSDs. Unless you need space I'm not sure why you'd bother.

Keep in mind theres a delay so your video and sound won't be in sync if you're planning to edit over bluetooth. Most speakers have a line in though so as long as you cable it for those times you'll be fine.

I wouldn't buy a Thunderbolt monitor unless you can get a cheap refurb or deal as its only a matter of time until its replaced with a 4k model. I will say its nice to have external ports if you work mainly from a laptop but on a nMP I don't see any huge advantage.

Dell & Apple probably share the same panels but I'm not sure (Google would know). Either way you won't regret getting a close to accurate colour monitor - the difference on critical delivery things like compression blocks and banding on gradients are far more noticeable as those sorts of monitors. If you buy one new they'll also come factory calibrated and ready to go.

lotech created a new topic ' Promise Pegasus2 Finder Icons' in the forum. 6 years ago

I like to have my drives identified by what they roughly look like so have gone a head and made a pack of the three models of promise pegasus2 RAID boxes.

Theres icons for the R4,R6 & R8 models of the Pegasus2 Family.

To set them just get info on the correct icon and for your drive and copy and paste the icon on top.

Enjoy.
