Just breaking on the YouTube Creator channel, you will soon be able to share parts or 'clips' from your YouTube videos.
This is huge news for all YouTubers. YouTube has given creators a sneak peak of a new feature called Clips.
Before Clips, you could send a link or embed a video that started at a certain timecode, but Clips goes a lot further than that. The demand for 'sections' came from gamers who wanted to share a short clip with their fans without having to share the whole video.
When the feature is rolled out, a Clip can be anywhere between 5 and 60 seconds long. You can also make a Clip from a livestream which means that sporting events can immediately embed an in-play action highlight. It is really easy for viewers to get to the whole clip and all monetisation is supported.
No news when this feature will become available for all of us, a few select gamers are testing it and of course you can try it out on the video below. iOS support to follow.
