This has to be tip of the week. A great free resource for making graphics for videos with a few clicks.
We have been meaning to take another look at Canva ever since we saw that it was the tool of choice for a lot of YouTubers who want to build eye-catching thumbnails.
Canva is a free and paid service that allows the user to make different sorts of graphics using a simple online interface. The old saying of 'Quick, good and cheap - pick any two' doesn't really apply here as you can make some very good looking motion graphics really quickly.
So a big hat-tip to MrCameraJunkie for jogging our brains and making this tutorial video on how to get animating Canva graphics with transparency into Final Cut Pro. If you need a bit more than the built-in FCP effects and you don't want to venture into Motion, then Canva might just be perfect for you.
This isn't just for simple titles that MrCameraJunkie demonstrates, make sure you spend some time going through the site. They have predefined layouts such as Instagram pages and Facebook header graphics so you know everything will fit ok. Some nice looking stock footage is incorporated as well.
He does need to get the FCP logo right though :)
