We had a long conversation about Steve this morning with Philip Johnson of HDWarrior, should we post an article or not? It is very sad news, but have we anything to add? Then one line of a quotation summed up the enormity of his achievements and we thought we would share.

Reading around the websites, we thought Macrumors had some of the best coverage. Not only did they post the inspirational Stanford Commencement Speech from 2005, they also posted a roundup of tributes.

A statement from Barack Obama included these two lines.

"The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented."

Perfect.
