Professor Simon Holland runs through the editing kit he uses making videos for his popular YouTube channel.
A few reasons for including this in the live show & podcast column. First of all, this is a great run-through of kit that Simon uses for making his YouTube videos, it seems to be getting good traction. Centre to his production is a new M1 Mac mini that he rather likes and doesn't find it limiting in ports or speed.
Secondly, he used to be a broadcast editor on Avid, so it's good to see his endorsement of FCP for his YouTube work, although it would be interesting to see how he would feel returning to the frustrations of Avid.
If you like science, or wrangling with YouTube's algorithm, then make sure you check out his channel, he's not too far away from his silver wall plaque!
