MBS 30 6 2015

This week we look once again at the amazing 3D text capabilities in Motion and we also refresh our Compressor skills by looking at presets and default locations.

The 3D capabilities have always been good in Motion, but the introduction of true 3D objects has really taken Motion and FCPX to a new level. In this new episode of MacBreak Studio, Mark Spencer shows Steve Martin how 3D objects such as gears can be made from symbol fonts by using the application called Glyphter.

As Steve says at the end, it triggered off a whole bunch of creative ideas and we are sure that this is just one of many examples of building very cool 3D objects that we will see in the future.

If you would like to know more about the 3D capabilities in Motion, make sure you check out Mark's tutorial on Creating 3D Titles in Motion.

A return of an old face (or should that be voice) to Ripples's 5 minute shows. This time Brian Gary looks at creating custom locations and assigning default locations in Compressor.
