Published slightly later than usual, this week's MacBreak Studio features a tutorial on how to blow away text in Motion 5. Many great ideas to try out in this new episode.
One of the great things about Motion is behaviours. Another great thing is the Replicator. Put them together and you can build some pretty complex animations quite easily and quickly without using a single keyframe.
In this week's episode of MacBreak Studio, Mark Spencer shows Steve Martin how to animate the blowing away of text into particles. You can probably guess that the replicator and behaviours were used!
A great effect, but it does tend to bog down Motion, Idustrial Revolution's ParticleMetrix plugin was designed specifically for blowing text & objects into particles and offers a one click solution, it's not free however.
Many thanks to Mark & Steve for the tutorial.
If you would like to know more about Motion, here are the two tutorials from Ripple Training that focus on Particles & the Replicator.
