In this new episode of MacBreak Studio, our regular team of Steve Martin and Mark Spencer demonstrate coupling item controls together using the link parameter behavior. Especially handy when publishing parameters to Final Cut Pro X.
Building complicated templates in Motion and publishing the parameters for use in FCPX is easy. But what if the template contains many coloured items that you want to change all in one go?
Mark Spencer shows Steve Martin how to link the colour of a variety of objects to one colour picker in Motion. Rather than have a scrolling list of pickers, now you can adjust a template with just one click. Very cool, however we would be the first to sign a petition to Apple asking them to build expressions into Motion.
Many thanks again to Steve Martin and Mark Spencer for the episode, don't forget to check out their excellent training books for FCPX and Motion.
