Can anyone please tell me how do I achieve transparency at end of clip in FCP 7?

Can anyone please tell me how can I make my bottom (V2) videoclip dislove, go transparent so that it reveals the V1 on top?
In other words for example if I were to use Dip To Color Dissolve, but instead of any color it would simply go to/become transparent?

You want the V2 track to dissolve so V1 track reveals?
Add a dissolve or keyframe the opacity for the clip.

Yes I understand that, but it makes the clip go a color, black by default or whatever color you choose from "dip to color". In my case I want the clip to fade out to a complete transparency with no color at the end of clip, thus revealing whats under it.

You are using the wrong transition, replace the Dip To Color transition with a Cross Disolve for example.
