Hello guys,

I have struggle to install Final Cut Pro 7. First of all when I come to the point where i need to select which components I want to install, the Final Cut Pro package is un-selectable. Also it´s on the "skip" mode. So I tried to continue installation by disselecting all parts of installations expect DVD Studio Pro (update) which I couldn´t avoid and had to install.

It sounds like I have already Final Cut Pro 7 (which is not the case) on my system and installation is only available for updating add-ons. Have you any idea why it´s like that and what i could do to fix this issue?

Is that the full version or only an upgrade? For the upgrade you need to have an FCS 2 license.
What OS are you using?

I am about to load FCP 7 to my 17" late 2009 macbook pro - should I get mountain lion first or should I load FCP 7 and then upgrade to mountain lion. I am also going to upload Aperture and DaVinci Resolve. I have a 8gb Ram
Thank you

1- Install Final Cut Studio First.
2- Install FCP X if you want it, AFTER.
3- Last step after all apps are installed, upgrade to Mountain Lion.

But, to be honest, if you're not using FCP X, only v.7, stick with Snow Leopard or Lion.
