Why couldn't my project sequence transfer to an external hard drive with media manager?

Ok so here's the problem. I started making a series of webisodes. After I got through editing and finishing the first two on my computer, I realized while I was in the middle of working on the third one, I would need to transfer my workflow to an external hard drive.

My goal was to transfer all the projects individually with media manager to a 1.5tb external hard drive I had just purchased and then delete all the projects and associated files off my computer. I was going to then set the new scratch bin to the hard drive and continue working on the third episode from the hard drive.

However, thank god when I used media manager I said "copy" the files. I opened the project I had copied in the hard drive to see if it was all there and there was no sequence with all my editing! I'm not sure why it didn't import the sequence. All the clips are still in the project tab. I did this with two episodes and they are all not showing the sequence. The render files still transferred too.

Can anybody help? Am I doing this right?

Thanks in advance.

Screw Media Manager, it is a royal PITA. Here's what you do.

Make a folder on the new drive called "FCP Docs". Then copy the Scratch Disk folder from your internal to inside that folder.

Then, copy your FCP project file to the external drive, where ever you want it to live there.

Lauch FCP by double clicking the project file, redirect the Scratch Disk to the FCP Docs folder, you'll be set.
