How to save settings in Log and Capture window?

How to save clip settings in Log and Capture window? I usually capture only one audio track without video. Each time I open the window, I have to uncheck 14 of 16 audio channels. The second channel is always unchecked. Sometimes my settings stay saved for some time, but then first settings come back and i don't know, what it depends on. I have tried to use the "save all" option in the File menu, but it doesn't affect these settings.

I have been using FCP for over 2 years, but this problem appeared few months ago. Earlier i didn't have it, or my most frequently used settings were default, so I didn't notice it.

In FCP 7, there is a L&C preset list. In that list, you can create custom presets, as well as assign the default preset. Don't remember exactly where it is, System Preferences, User Preferences, I've not touched it in ages. But yes, you can simply create a custom preset, and set it as the default.

I know, that i can create my own preets. In capture preset I can only choose audio device, sample rate and bit depth. All of audio inputs supported by the device are always available. My device supports 16 digital audio tracks. I need to save "Clip" tab settnings in Log and Capture window.
