XDCAM MXF 4:2:2 to ProRes 4:4:4:4

Can anyone out there tell me if it's possible to take an XDCAM 4:2:2 MXF file and convert to a Pro Res 4:4:4:4 file? We have FCP 7 and Premiere Pro CC as possible tools to use. Thanks

First, why? What do you gain by taking a 4:2:2 file to such a high bit rate, large file format? That's a huge leap for such an original file format. But yes, it can be done, and I'd probably look at Compressor for batch converting them. Not with FCP 7, I don't know if it can handle ProRes 4x4, or whatever. If it does, you can use it. But I've not touched that dinosaur in almost 3 years.
