I've created a .7 second animation in motion which plays fine in motion. project properties is set to .7 sec.

When i add it to favorites and drag into another project, the animation plays but i'm left with excess timeline. I can trim the animation timeline which works but i'd rather have the animation time line stop after animation.
What am I doing wrong. Thanks
this is a screenshot showing right portion of timeline which i need to move to the last keyframe

you can see the length of the timeline in this screenshot. the animation might be just over a second or 2

you can see in this screenshot how it looks when placed into a new project in motion.
you can see the keyframes all the way to the left?

Hi Owen
In Motion make sure to select the checkbox to "Override FCP" duration.
Add Markers in Motion Timeline…

Thanks Greg. When i drop the animation into favorites in motion and apply that same animation to another motion project the timeline is longer than original. Im not importing into fcpx but will make a note of your fix for that.

so it looks like my issue may lie in the greyed out are in my timeline?
In the past i've been able to drag the grey out area to the left to match up with the end of the animation.
I can't seem to do it now.. my out time says 42 seconds and it needs to be 12. can i manually adjust this?
my proj properties is set correctly.

Morning Greg,
Can you tell me where i can find the "overide fcp duration"? I see in project properties the box to override fcp color space but can't seem to locate "overide fcp duration"
I'm guessing i'm in the wrong location? Thanks Owen
