External Screen Flickering in FCP and Motion

External Screen Flickering in FCP and Motion was created by jdbied
I am experiencing a flickering external screen when using FCP and Motion with the new MacBook Pro 16" M1Max.
It seems to happen in Motion when a clip is in the Viewer and I have an Inspector Tab open.
I am using a Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cable to a UHD Asus monitor.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Have any fixes?

Sounds like a refresh rate issue. Go to System Preferences, to Displays. You'll have options to adjust for various different displays there.
