Sometimes when composing a 3D scene, we lose the orientation. So I built this generator to find the right path.



I use it in Apple motion, I do not know if it can be useful in FCPX, however I published the control parameters, and suggest you use them even in Motion.



The first checkbox allows me to bring up the locator only when I need it, the second makes me display the names of the axes, the third brings up the "Spatial Locator" that shows me the position in space with the choice "Spatial Coordinates menu " and the slide does what its name suggests.
Unzip the attachment and put the folder “3Axis Locator” in User/ Your name/ Movies/Motion/Generators/Pielle

Thanks, this could indeed be helpful. It would be nice if Motion would shade an object or light path a particular unique color momentarily when dragging along a particular axis for visual confirmation. Then you'd always know easily if you're moving where you expect.
