The FCP X TOUR is on cruise speed, traveling across Europe to showcase new ways of understanding postproduction workflows in the digital era. With free workshops, presentations, case studies, software and hardware demos, the FCP X TOUR presents the power of Final Cut Pro X and its ecosystem to everyone involved in media and entertainment.

Clickbait headline? We don't think so. This video neatly wraps up in a short, well put package why FCPX has become a superior non-linear editor compared to the traditional track based systems. Essential viewing, for your un-enlightened colleagues and friends.

Phil and Greg from Intelligent Assistance are two of the brightest guys out when it comes to adding functionality to FCPX, especially in the XML department! So when they sent us information about their new $19.99 app called FindrCat, we were excited to take a look.

Benjamin Mercer, an award-winning Finnish/English editor, received cheers and loud applause from the audience at the FCP X Tour Barcelona when he explained his workflows and his editing process for an epic war-drama movie that he is currently cutting in FCPX. (Two demo videos included!)

new MBP 2016

We have had a week to put the new MacBook Pros through their paces. What better task than to send the 13” and 15” inch to work straight out of the box on a real broadcast editing job. Were they fast? What about connectivity? How is the Touch bar in actual use? How will the integrated GPU on the 13 inch compare to a discreet GPU on the 15? Let’s find out.

fcpx touch bar macbook pro

We haven't read a decent review yet of the new MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar and Final Cut Pro X. A lot of tyre kicking and speculation, but no details on exactly what features work with FCPX and this new tool. So we tasked Chris Roberts with the job of testing and documenting what you can, and cant do with the new Touch Bar and FCPX. We think he's got screengrabs of just about everything!
