The last new FCPX plugin post of the year belongs to new designer TangentFX. They have just released four brand new reasonably priced plugins onto the market.

Another two new FCPX products from different companies in the last week before Christmas. Pixel Film Studios release vintage looks plugin Prolaroid and Cineflare launch their lens flare pack Anamorphics.

Does any week go by without another pack of FCPX plugins being released? Expanding the transition options available to editors this time is Impackt from Luca Visual FX.

It will be a relief to a lot of editors as there is now a tool designed especially for subtitling in FCPX. Digital Heaven have released an X version of their popular subtitling plugin. There is a time limited 30% discount on offer too.

Controlling Final Cut Pro X from a iPhone or iPad isn't new. What is new however is Editmote 2 which gains added Final Cut Pro X support, gestures and more. We also have 3 copies to give away.

Thomas Szabo at Mindtransplant has emailed us to say that ClipExporter has been taken off the Mac App Store and is now free to download. It's not the end of this handy app for getting clips out of FCPX, it's the beginning of more development.

In this months plugin roundup we have a new grading plugin from Pixel Film Studios, an interesting update to 3D rendering in FCPX with Super Charger and two new plugins from the FxFactory stable.

If you've been working with Final Cut Pro X for a while you will know that it shows all events on a disk by default. Event Manager allows you to selectively hide or show events and it's just been updated with new features to version 1.2.

Another new feature explored in the 10.0.6 FCPX update from Steve Martin and Mark Spencer on this week's MacBreak Studio. This time they look at flexible clip connections.

Hot off the press is longtime FCP guru Rick Young's The Focal Easy Guide to Final Cut Pro X. Should you need to brush up on your FCPX skills or just need a last minute stocking filler for Christmas, this graphic heavy publication might fit the bill. We have three to giveaway too.

There are many looks packages out there for FCPX, but they don't tackle some of the trickier colour correction problems that editors face. The new $25 HyColour colour grading utility plugin concentrates on getting the colours right.

A slightly unexpected but welcome early Christmas present, Apple have updated FCPX, Motion and Compressor. No new features though, mainly just bug fixes.

***Updated with promo price for Optics plugin***
The latest update to Noise Industries' FxFactory 4.0.1 brings a new plugin called Optics from Ripple Training and updates for XEffects 3D Transitions from Idustrial Revolution, Defocus from PHYX and Stereo 3D Toolbox from Dashwood Cinema Solutions.
